The Bungaree Bank
By Campbell Skene and Mathew Baron
In 1909 a bank started to be built in Bungaree. It was opened in 1911. The bank was first known as the London Bank of Australia Ltd. The second name that the bank had was the English Scottish and Australian Bank Ltd. The last name of the bank was the London Bank of Australia Ltd.
Lots of people used the bank including farmers, the Bungaree store and the Police Station. It was too far for people to go to the Ballarat Bank, so they came to Bungaree.
