The Hotels of Bungaree
by Keeley Ringin and Jasmine Biggs

Bungaree has had at least four hotels in the past years, the Bridge Hotel, the Morning Star, the Grand Junction and the Horse and Jockey. Now there are two remaining hotel buildings, and only the Bridge Hotel is still running as a hotel.

Hotels were really common and popular in the Gold Rush days. In fact there was 13 pubs between Bungaree and Ballarat. Now there are only 2: the Bridge Hotel and The Brewery Tap.
