The Bungaree Recreation Oval
The current site of the Bungaree Recreation Oval has been used to play sport since 1886. Before that sport was played at various venues including behind the current shop and in many farm paddocks. Sports played at Bungaree over the years include hurling, cricket, tennis, Aussie Rules and netball.
The present complex was opened in 1965 with a game against Sprinbank. The building has just been demolished. A grant has been awarded to Bungaree to build a new complex which is now under construction. This will ensure an active participation in sport for our residents for the future.
