Mr Leo Rix worked at the Top Shop after the Bottom Shop closed. He delivered groceries all over the area in trucks. At one time there were around 20 to 25 people working at the Top Shop. It was a big business. Mr Rix took laundry and dry cleaning in to Ballarat.
Ted Cass took deliveries to two old farmers called Jack and Jim Crough. If they went out, they were careful to lock their doors. But they would leave the key in the lock for Ted!

Rod and Kerry Holt
Rod and Kerry bought the Top Shop off Ted Cass in 2002. They came from Horsham. They made some changes to the shop like they turned Ted's storeroom into a cafe room, they have Liberty fuel and a library kiosk. Rod also runs a mobile coffee trailer that runs on solar power. He takes it to places like footy matches.
