Aboriginal Culture
By Mathew and Rowan
Aboriginals liked to do lots of interesting and resourceful things, including dancing around a fire to tell stories, knocking front teeth out of boys to show that they've become a man (initiation), and making footballs out of grass and possum skin. They sewed clothes using animal teeth for a needle and animal sinew for thread.
Aboriginals made spinning tops out of clay and sticks, and played noughts and crosses with coloured stones (this game was called Ngacka Ngacka). They used bark to make canoes, used sticks to fish and lots of other useful things.
